Dr. Kirshbaum explains Pediatric Dental I.V. Sedation

In this video, pediatric dentist Dr. Gerald Kirshbaum explains how pediatric dental I.V. sedation works and why it might be helpful for your child or apprehensive patients.

Children and Infants
Those with moderate to severe anxiety and/or the inability to relax or tolerate dental care. Intravenous anesthesia alleviates the fear and discomfort of the dental procedures. The entire treatment plan can often be accomplished in one visit.

Physical and Mental Disabilities
Those with back or chronic pain sometimes find it too difficult to sit in the dental chair for long periods, but with intravenous anesthesia you will be comfortable and relaxed. Careful monitoring associated with anesthesia and the reduction in stress is a major benefit for those with medical conditions. Severe gaggers or people with reactions to local anesthetics reduce their difficulties with anesthesia.

Convenience
Multiple dental appointments may not be compatible with a busy schedule. Your dentist is now able to perform a maximum amount of treatment in a minimum amount of time. Several months of major dental visits can be pleasantly accomplished within hours.
